Kayde Kinaschuk Named 2026 Southern Maine Men’s Tennis Captain

GORHAM, Maine – Junior Kayde Kinaschuk (Calgary, Alberta) has been named captain of the University of Southern Maine men's tennis team for the 2026 season. Kinaschuk is in his second season with the team and played well while filling in at the bottom of the lineup in 2025.
 
Kinaschuk went 2-2 at No. 6 singles play during the 2025 season with both wins coming in conference action. He also saw action as part of a No. 3 doubles pairing. His first career win was a 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 win over his opponent from Western Connecticut State on April 13. He then won another thrilling match 7-6 (7-2), 1-6, 7-6 (7-3) in the Huskies' loss to UMass Boston on April 23. Kinaschuk is majoring in Finance.

The Huskies will return to action on Tuesday, March 24 with a home match against the University of New England at 4:30 pm in the Costello Sports Complex Field House.
