GORHAM, Maine – Senior Maddox Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.) of the University of Southern Maine men's indoor track & field track has been named the Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at Saturday's USM Open II. This is the first weekly award of the season for Cahill.
 
Cahill placed second in the 400 meters at Saturday's meet with a time of 50.02 seconds and was the top collegiate finisher in the event. He also ran on a sprint medley relay team that placed second with a time of 3:41.86. His converted time of 49.24 seconds ranks 24th in NCAA Division III this season and is the best in the East region.
The next meet for the Huskies will be the Bates Multi / Invitational this weekend.
