BRUNSWICK, Maine – Junior
Finn Sharpe (Durham, Maine/Freeport) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's golf team shot a 74 (+2) to end the first round of the Bowdoin Invitational tied for 12th place. Sharpe had birdies on the third and seventh holes. The Huskies carded a 313 (+25) as a team to tie for 11th in the standings after the first day of the event. The event is being played at Brunswick Golf Club.

Sophomore
Alex Fournier (Augusta, Maine/Cony) also is in the top 50 after day one with a 79 (+7) and is tied for 48th.

Amherst College (294, +6) sits in first place in the team standings followed by Bowdoin College (298, +10). Williams College and Tufts University each carded a 299 (+11) and are tied for third. Four players, Derek Johnson from Western New England University, Henry Mariscal from Bowdoin, Jack Estrella from Williams, and Sam Dolan from Drew University, are tied for first place. Each player shot one-under par 71.

- Sophomore Alex Grant (St. Albans, Maine/Nokomis Regional) and freshman Keenan Buteau (Scarborough, Maine) each shot an 80 (+8) and are tied for 57th. Each player had one birdie.
- Sophomore Jaden Poirier (White River Junction, Vt./Hartford) is tied for 69th after shooting an 81 (+9). He led the Huskies with three birdies.
- Sophomore Owen Moore (Pittsfield, Maine/Maine Central Institute) competed as an individual and is tied 88th with an 84 (+12).
