GORHAM, Maine – Freshman Haylie Bidegain (Logan, N.M.) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's volleyball has been named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week. Bidegain totaled 16 kills, five total blocks and four service aces over the weekend across three matches.
 
Bidegain's best performance of the weekend came in a five-set match against the University of New England in which she recorded 10 kills. She finished the match with 15.5 points after also recording a solo block, three block assists, and three aces. She ranks second on the team so far this season in both kills and total blocks.
 
The next match for the Huskies will be at Bates College on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
