HOOKSET, N.H. – Graduate student
Ethan Shain (Sanford, Maine) rewrote the University of Southern Maine record for the 100-meter dash once again on Monday evening with a time of 10.53 second in the prelim round at the Southern New Hampshire University Ed Daniels Invitational. His time earned him a spot in the finals where he won the event with a time of 10.58 seconds, a time that would have tied his own program record if he had not beaten it in the earlier round. His time moves him up several spots to 27th on the NCAA Division III season leaderboard. Shain also won the 200-meter dash with a tie of 21.87 seconds to move into third in program history.
