STANDISH, Maine – Graduate student
William Carrolton (Bath, Maine/Morse) set a new University of Southern Maine program record in the shot put with a throw of 15.36m on Friday to win the event at the Monks Invitational. Carrolton also won an event title in the discus with a mark of 48.07m.

The Huskies dominated the jumps events with four first-place finishes. Sophomore
Dru Hyndman (Auburn, Maine/Edward Little) took first place in the long jump with a mark of 6.66m. Senior
Jacob Jackson (Auburn, Maine/Edward Little) won the high jump with a mark of 1.89m, a height that he cleared on his first attempt. Junior
Jon Dalessandro (Westbrook, Maine) won the pole vault with a new outdoor-best clearance of 4.00m. Dalessandro passed on the 11 heights before clearing 3.80m and 4.00m on his first try at each height. Senior
Treshaun Brown (Kittery, Maine) had a mark of 13.14m in the triple jump to place first.

On the track, juniors
Michael Cyr (Caribou, Maine) and
Maddox Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.) picked up event wins. Cyr won the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:35.71. Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.) finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.37 seconds.

Track Event Highlights:
- Freshman Marcus Tillery (Windham, Maine) placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.29 seconds. He also finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.90 seconds.
- Seniors Jordan Duplessie (Caribou, Maine) and Jack Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) were the top two collegiate finishers in the 1500 meters behind an unattached runner. Duplessie clocked in at 4:17.04 followed by Pecoraro at 4:18.00.
- Junior Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine/Messalonskee) placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.50 seconds.
- The Huskies had five runners place in the top 10 in the 800 meters led by a second-place performance by sophomore Cyrus Evans (Farmington, Maine/Mt. Blue) with a time of 1:58.65. Sophomore Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) and freshman Preston Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) finished third and fourth, respectively, with times of 2:00.43 and 2:00.62. Junior Camden Bessey (Westbrook, Maine) and sophomore Kyle Hartford (South Portland, Maine) placed seventh and eighth at 2:11.28 and 2:17.68.
- The 4x400 relay team of Cyrus Evans, Gerry, Bessey and Jack Pecoraro placed second with a time of 3:36.02.
- Senior Anthony O'Donnell (Portland, Maine/Deering) placed second in the 10000 meters with a time of 35:23.01.
- Junior DeAnthony Evans (Westbrook, Maine) finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.52 seconds and sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.74 seconds.
- Sophomore Pashalis Pashaladis (Palo Alto, Cali.) finished sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 54.71 seconds.
- Senior Chris Hatch (Westbrook, Maine) finished sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.86 seconds.
- Freshman Logan Berube (Turner, Maine/Leavitt Area) placed seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.79 seconds.
- Hartford placed eighth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:37.92.
- Freshman Elijah DiRisi (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) placed 10th in the 400 meters at 55.31 seconds.
- Senior Nolan Winslow (Poland, Maine) placed 10th in the 200 meters with a time of 24.39 seconds.

Field Event Highlights:
- Carrolton also recorded the third (15.06m) and seventh (14.58m) best shot put throws in program history.
- Senior Scott Kaufman (Nashua, N.H./Nashua South) shot up the program's all-time leaderboard in the hammer throw with a throw of 38.96m to place third. Kaufman entered the day 10th on the leaderboard and now moves into the sixth spot.
- Berube placed third in the javelin with a mark of 45.71m. Jackson placed fifth with a throw of 42.79m followed by freshman Matt Reynolds (Winslow, Maine) in sixth at 41.30m. Kaufman placed eighth with a mark of 38.67m.
- Senior Kaleb Frey (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) placed sixth in the hammer with a mark of 38.84m and was also sixth in the discus with a mark of 37.38m.
- Senior Konnor Simpson (Auburn, Maine/Edward Little) placed seventh in the shot put with a mark of 11.28m.
- Freshman Trevor Amos (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) placed fourth in the discus at 38.78m and fifth in both the shot put at 11.94m. He also finished seventh in the hammer with a throw of 38.03m. Amos moved into seventh in program history in the discus and 10th in the shot put.
