GORHAM, Maine – Freshman
Khalysa Hammith (Windham, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine women's track & field team has been selected to compete in the long jump at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. The National Championships will be held from March 14-15 at the Golisano Training Center at Nazareth University in Rochester, N.Y. Qualification to the championships is based on the descending-order list for the season with the top 20 declared student-athletes accepted into the competition.

Hammith set a program record in the long jump at the 2025 Little East Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships with a mark of 5.79m. Her distance won the event and set a new conference championship record. The mark allowed her to climb into the top 10 on the national leaderboard. She finished the regular season with the 11th best mark in the country. Her mark ranks second among freshmen jumpers.

The long jump is scheduled to begin at noon on Friday, March 14.
