Six Huskies Named to 2025 All-Little East Conference Team

Southern Maine is the Four-Time Repeat LEC Champion

GORHAM, Maine  -  Six members of the 2025 Little East Conference Champion University of Southern Maine women's soccer team earned post-season all-conference honors.  Seniors Cierra Hill (Pembroke, NH/Pembroke Academy) and Devon Gatz (Millis, Mass.) both earned first team all-conference honors, while senior Riley Reitchel (Palermo, Maine/Erskine Academy) and sophomores Meghan Przybilla (St. Anthony, Minn.) and Makyla Magid (Golden, Colo./Lakewood) each earned second team honors.  Senior Devan Sherry (Gorham, Maine/Waynflete) earned third team recognition.

Now a four-time All-Little East selection at midfield, Hill previously earned third team honors in 2022, 2023 and 2024. A critical fixture in the Huskies' midfield, Hill has played in each of Southern Maine's 23 games with 21 starts in 2025. Scoring two goals and dishing out three assists, Hill's ability to win duals and control the midfield aided both the Huskies' offense and stopped opponent attacks. In 82 career games, Hill has 10 goals and six assists for 26 points. Four of Hill's 10 goals have been for game-winners. Hill is a Business major.

Now a two-time all-conference back for the Huskies, Gatz previously earned second team honors as a freshman in 2022.  Battling back from injury, Gatz played in all of the Huskies' 23 games so far this season with 21 starts.  A tenacious defender, Gatz logged 1720 minutes and turned in 10 full-90 shifts, including a stellar 95-minute overtime performance in the LEC semifinals. Strong in the air, Gatz scored the first goal of her intercollegiate career on a header in a 5-1 LEC win over Plymouth State to close out the regular season.  Gatz has played in 66 career games with one goal and four assists. Gatz is a Women and Gender Studies major.

Now a two-time all-conference selection at forward, Reitchel is earning second team honors for the second time in her career (2023, 2025).  A 2023 United Soccer Coaches' All-Region (third team) pick in 2023, Reitchel helped power a Husky offense in her final season and currently has 10 goals and seven assists over 23 games in 2025. All three of Reitchel's game-winning goals came against Little East Conference opponents, including winners against Eastern Connecticut (3-0) and Plymouth State (5-1).  Reitchel tallied her third game-winner of the season in a 4-2 win over UMass Boston in the quarterfinals of the LEC tournament.  Third in the Little East Conference in points, Reitchel is 86th in NCAA Division III women's soccer with 27 (10g, 7a). Currently, third all-time in career points for the Huskies, Reitchel has 32 goals and 23 assists in 78 career games. Reitchel is studying Linguistics.

Magid is earning a spot on the all-conference second team after earning third team honors in 2024.  Moving into a regular starting role in the Huskies' midfield as a sophomore, Magid played in all 23 of the Huskies' games with 18 starts, totaling six goals and eight assists for 20 points.  Scoring four of her six goals against LEC opponents, Magid had back-to-back game-winning goals in the Huskies' LEC Championship run, driving in Southern Maine's 3-2 overtime winner at Keene State in the conference semifinals, and scoring the first goal of the game in a 3-0 win over WestConn in the championship.  Through two seasons so far, Magid has played in 44 games with 20 starts and has 12 goals and 15 assists for 39 career points.  Magid is studying Health Sciences.

The 2025 Most Outstanding Player of the Little East Conference tournament, Przybilla is now a two-time all-LEC selection, repeating as a second team pick. Playing in all 23 games and starting 22, Przybilla leads the Huskies' offensive with 13 goals and 11 assists for 37 points, including three game-winning goals.  Recording 21 of her 37 points against conference opponents, Przybilla had one goal and three assists in the LEC tourney.  First in the Little East in assists, total goals and points, Przybilla is among the nation's leaders in the same statistics ranking 27th in points, 11th in assists and 47th in goals.  In 44 career games, Przybilla has 18 goals and 18 assists for 54 career points. Her 18 assists are currently tied for fourth in USM records, while her 54 points are ninth all-time. Przybilla is a Mechanical Engineering major.

Now a two-time all-LEC pick at defense, Sherry is repeating as a third-team selection.  Playing in 23 games with 20 starts, Sherry had a career-high three assist for the Huskies, all on set-piece plays.  A strong defender, Sherry helped USM record five wins by shutout in 2025.  Logging a team-high 1775 minutes in 2025, Sherry turned in 12 full-90 shifts, playing every minute of the Huskies' post-season run. With 38 career games as a Husky, Sherry has five career assists. Sherry is a Nursing major.

Making its fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, Southern Maine will face No. 4 Messiah University at Shoemaker Field in Grantham, Pa. on Saturday, November 15 (11:00 am). The Huskies are back-to-back-to-back-to-back Little East Conference Tournament Champions (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025).
