PORTLAND, Maine – Sophomore Jaden Poirier (White River Junction, Vt./Hartford) shot three-under par 69 to tie for first on Sunday afternoon at the USM Husky Classic at Riverside Golf Course. The Huskies shot par as a team to win their seventh event title of the season. Poirier had seven birdies and was five-under 31 through the front nine. He shot par or better on each of the first 12 holes.
 
Junior Quinn Dillon (Gorham, Maine) and freshman Keenan Buteau (Scarborough, Maine) also shot under par to finish in the top five. Dillon, who was competing as part of the Huskies' B team, shot 70 (-2) with four birdies to place third. Buteau shot a 71 (-1) and also had four birdies.
 
 
On the Course:

• Junior Finn Sharpe (Durham, Maine/Freeport) shot 73 (+1) to tie for seventh. His round included four birdies.
• Sophomores Alex Fournier (Augusta, Maine/Cony) and Alex Grant (St. Albans, Maine/Nokomis Regional) tied for 10th. Each player shot a 75 (+3). Grant birdied four holes. Fournier had a pair of birdies.
• Senior Curan Bassingthwaite (Gorham, Maine) and sophomore Owen Moore (Pittsfield, Maine/Maine Central Institute) each shot a 77 (+5) to tie for 15th. Moore had three birdies and Bassingthwaite had two.
• Senior captain Sam Farr (Gorham, Maine) placed 27th with an 80 (+8).
• Freshman Ben Aucoin (Moncton, New Brunswick) tied for 36th with an 84 (+12) and had two birdies.
• Sophomore Carter O'Connell (Monmouth, Maine/Monmouth Academy) shot an 87 (+15) to tie for 44th.
