Jordan Colbert (Manomet, Mass./ Plymouth South) and senior
Haley McKim (Moncton, New Brunswick/Mount Academy) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies women's ice hockey team have earned 2023-2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.

To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. The student-athlete also must have competed in 90 percent or started in 66 percent of their institution's games. The 2023-24 Academic All-District At-Large Team (including the USM-sponsored sports of field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, golf, wrestling) is selected by College Sports Communicators, and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The program's leader in career games played by a defenseman with 108, Colbert scored two goals and had two assists while playing in all 28 games during the 2023-24 season. A Master's of Teacher Leadership graduate student, Colbert served as a team captain for each of the past three seasons. This is her first CSC Academic All-District selection for Colbert. Her decorated academic career includes four New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) All-Academic Team nods, four William B. Wise Scholar Athlete awards, and three American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Krampade All-American Scholar designations.

A Second Team East CCM Hockey/AHCA All-American, McKim broke several program records during the Huskies' historic 2023-24 campaign. The senior netminder became the program leader in career saves (2,382) and shutouts (16) while setting new single-season records in shutouts (six) and save percentage (.958). In addition to her All-American selection, McKim was named the NEHC Goaltender of the Year and First Team All-NEHC for the third consecutive season and was named a finalist for the 2024 Laura Hurd Award, given annually to the best NCAA Division III women's ice hockey player in the country by AHCA. She also was named a New England Women's Division III All-Star by the New England Hockey Writers Association (NEHWA) for the second season in a row. A Health Sciences major, McKim is now a two-time Academic All-District honoree. She is also a three-time NEHC All-Academic Team member, a three-time William B. Wise Scholar Athlete and a two-time AHCA / Krampade All-American Scholar.
