GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' wrestling team will host a Preseason Prospect Clinic on Saturday, November 2 (9:00 am to 11:30 am) at the Costello Sports Complex.
Led by former Husky All-American
Mike Morin '10 since the 2015 season, Huskies' wrestling as achieved regional and national success, crowning its first individual National Champion, establishing program-bests at the Regional Championship with individual and team accolades, and finishing the 2017-18 season ranked in the top 25 nationally. During his tenure, Morin has coached 33 regional place winners, 15 NCAA Division III National Championship qualifiers, eight NCAA Division III All-Americans and 25 National Wrestling Coaches' Association (NWCA) Scholar All-Americans.
Southern Maine's Preseason Prospect Clinic is designed for serious high school wrestlers who want to participate in a college-style practice with the USM wrestling coaches. Following the clinic, the Huskies' coaching staff will host a Q/A session to learn more about what being a wrestler at the intercollegiate wrestler entails and how to get prepared for the next step.
