COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.   –  Sophomore Jake Craig (Skowhegan, Maine), juniors Colby Frost (Steep Falls, Maine/Bonny Eagle), Tyler Haynes (Metuchen, NJ), and Kaleb Pool (Tucson, Arizona), and senior Ethan Ford (North Andover, Mass.)  each posted individual records of 4-0 to help the University of Southern Maine Huskies to a perfect 4-0 mark at the 2022 Manganaro Duals hosted by Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.
 
Southern Maine defeated York 49-6 and rolled Camden County College 58-0.  The Huskies dropped a nail-biting 25-24 decision to Messiah, ending the match tied 24-24 before yielding the match via tie-breaking procedure, and fell to Alvernia 37-10  With the split, Southern Maine is now 3-3 in dual meet action.  
 
How It Happened
  • Ranked nationally at 133 lbs, Craig dropped to 125 for the Manganaro duals and was dominant winning to bouts by fall, another by technical fall and one by decision. Craig pinned York's Jacob Kresicki in 59 seconds, and then earned a 44 second win by fall over Camden Counry's Elijah Clark.
  • Wrestling at 133, Ford was 4-0 with three wins by fall.  Ford pinned York's Daniel Barra in 4:22, and earned a win by fall over Messiah's Asa Brunk in 2:24. Against Camden County's Yasin Carer, Ford put his opponent to the mat in 1:01. 
  • Nationally-ranked at 149 lbs, Frost earned four more wins, pinning York's Blake Bender in a lighting quick 43 seconds. Frost also worked his way to a 2:16 pin of Messiah's Dalton Monger.  Frost also had a major decision win against Alvernia's Quinn Tobin, scoring four of the Huskies' 10 points in the competition, and rounded out his day with a win by technical fall, 19-3 (3:39) over Camden County's Thomas Kaliamouris.
  • Competing in two bouts at, Haynes was a perfect 2-0, earning an 11-4 decision over Justice Hockenberry of York at 165 pounds, and a 9-1 major decision against Messiah's Chris Cratsley at 174.
  • Wrestling at 157, Pool earned a win by fall in just 41 seconds over York's Jared Blair, and took a hard-won 10-6 decision against Messiah's Clay Gainer. Pool finished the day 3-0 with an 18-1 win by technical fall (5:10) against Camden County's Nicholas Faldetta.
