GORHAM, Maine –  In consideration of the tragic events earlier this week in Lewiston, Maine, and the ongoing investigation, the University of Southern Maine Department of Athletics, in consultation with and in support of the Town of Gorham, has made adjustments to the upcoming weekend schedule for Huskies' athletic contests and events.
 
All Southern Maine home games have been postponed through the weekend. Huskies' Athletics' administration is working to find suitable replacement dates, times and locations for each of the teams effected by the postponement.
 
Schedule Changes and Updates:
 
Husky Community Halloween Party
The 2023 Husky Community Halloween Party scheduled for October 29 at Robie Park has been canceled.  USM Student-Athletes, USM SAAC and The Gorham Recreation Department look forward to hosting the event again in 2024.
 
Volleyball
The Huskies' volleyball games scheduled for Saturday, October 28 against Western Connecticut State (12:00 pm) and Bridgewater State (4:00 pm) have been postponed.  Make up dates and times will be announced.
 
Men's Soccer
The Huskies' men's soccer game against VTSU-Castleton scheduled for Saturday, October 28 (3:30 pm) has been postponed.  A new date and time will be announced when available.
 
Field Hockey
The Huskies' field hockey game against Western Connecticut State University slated for Saturday, October 28 (11:30 am) has been postponed.  A new date and time will be announced when available.
