GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field has earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025-26 season. Three members of the team, senior Maddox Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.), senior Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine / Messalonskee) and freshman Ryker Paradis (Lewiston, Maine) have been named All-Academic Athletes. Cahill and D'Amico were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District last month.
 
Programs are recognized as All-Academic Teams if their cumulative team GPA is at least a 3.10 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter. All-Academic Athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and must meet an additional athletic requirement of either finishing the season among the top 50 individuals on the national performance list or being a member of one of the top 35 relay teams.
 
Cahill, a team captain, earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the indoor 400 meters, the outdoor 400-meter hurdles and the outdoor 1x100 relay. His personal-best 400-meter hurdles time of 53.02 seconds ranked 29th nationally and is sixth in program history. Cahill also earned All-Region honors as part of the Huskies' 4x100 relay team for the outdoor season. Cahill earned All-Region honors four times in his career in addition to Little East Conference titles in the 400 meters during the 2024 indoor season and the 400-meter hurdles during the 2024 outdoor season. He also won indoor conference titles as part of a 4x200 relay team in 2024 and a 4x400 relay team in 2025. Cahill recently completed his degree in Studio Art.
 
D'Amico ranked 27th nationally in the heptathlon with a converted score of 4,803 points and ranked 45th in the decathlon with a score of 6,042. He also won the LEC title in the indoor pole vault and placed third in the outdoor version of the event. A six-time All-Region performer in the multi-events, D'Amico earned five All-LEC honors in his career with two conference pole vault titles. He completed his degree in Cybersecurity in May.
 
Paradis, a Second Team All-American in the outdoor shot put, broke program records in both the indoor and outdoor shot put during his breakout rookie season. He initially broke the indoor shot put record in his first meet as a Husky and recorded a season-best throw of 17.41m to win the Division III New England Championships. The mark earned him a spot in the NCAA Division III National Championships where he placed 19th. Paradis returned to Nationals again during the outdoor season thanks to a program-record mark of 17.25m that came at the Southern New Hampshire University Ed Daniels Classic. He finished 14th to earn Second Team All-America honors. Paradis, who won the LEC Field Rookie of the Year award during both the indoor and outdoor seasons, won the conference title in the indoor shot put. He then placed second in both the shot put and discus at the outdoor championships meet in addition to placing third in the javelin. A Finance major, Paradis earned All-Region in the indoor shot put, the outdoor shot put and the discus.
