Five Members of Huskies’ Men’s Track & Field Team Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

GORHAM, Maine – Senior Christian Burke (York, Maine), senior Maddox Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.), freshman Dylan Courtney (Hampden, Maine/Hampden Academy), senior Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine/Messalonskee) and freshman Ryker Paradis (Lewiston, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team have earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025-26 indoor season.

The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.

Burke and D'Amico each earned All-Region honors for the heptathlon with Burke posting the top mark in the East region with a converted score of 4,846 points and D'Amico ranking third with 4,803 points. Both student athletes have been near the top of the regional rankings all season and finished the year in the top 30 nationally. Their scores came at the DIII New England Championships where they took the top two spots on the podium. Burke's non-converted score of 4,822 is the fourth-highest in program history with D'Amico ranking just behind at 4,779 points.

Courtney ranked sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.67m that came at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships. He tied for second at the event and the mark tied him for sixth on the program leaderboard.

Cahill, the lone track performer to earn All-Region honors for the Huskies, ranked eighth in the 400 meters with a converted time of 49.24 seconds. He clocked in at 50.02 seconds to place second at the USM Open II.

Paradis, who will be competing in the shot put at the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championships on Saturday, had the top mark in the East region with a throw of 17.41m. His mark won him the DIII New England title and moved him into the top 15 nationally. He enters Saturday's national championship meet as the 11th and will compete at 12:00 pm at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
