Cierra Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) scored four goals to become the 12th player in University of Southern Maine women's lacrosse history to reach 100 career goals on Wednesday as part of a 15-5 win for the Huskies. Hill also recorded two assists to match her season-high for points with six. Graduate student
Katelyn D'Appolonia (Yarmouth, Maine) scored a season-high six goals and had three assists for a game-leading nine points. She also led the Huskies in draw controls with seven and ground balls with four.

The win is first by the Huskies in the series since April 20, 2021 and the first-ever home win for the Huskies against the Panthers.

Evelyn Goudreau had three of the five Plymouth State goals. Claire Joyce also had three points on a goal and two assists. Greta Oberacker scored a goal as well.

Maggie Jones (St. John's, Newfoundland/Mount Academy) made six saves to earn her fourth win of the season. Caitlin Snow made six saves but took the loss for the Panthers.

Series History:
Today's win snaps a seven-game losing streak for the Huskies in the series. The last win for the Huskies prior to today was a 10-7 win on April 20, 2021, in Plymouth. Plymouth State now leads the all-time series 34-4.

How It Happened:
- The Huskies scored three times in the first three minutes with D'Appolonia netting a free position goal and Hills scoring twice. D'Appolonia also assisted on Hill's second goal. Oberacker scored a down goal to cut the lead to 3-1 before DeLisle scored an up goal 11 seconds later. The Huskies then outscored the Panthers 2-1 over the final five minutes with D'Appolonia accounting for both goals.
- D'Appolonia scored two more times in the second quarter, and the Huskies also had a goal from Hill. Pattershall assisted on Hill's goal while Hill had an assist on D'Appolonia's first goal of the quarter. Plymouth State's lone goal of the quarter came from Goudreau with 56 seconds left in the half.
- Goudreau scored both goals for the Panthers in the third quarter with Byers scoring for the Huskies to make the score 10-5 after three quarters.
- Hill's milestone goal came on a free position goal 31 seconds into the fourth quarter. The goal was one of five in the quarter for the Huskies as Pattershall, Byers, D'Appolonia and Hanselmann also scored for the 15-5 final.
