Katelyn D'Appolonia (Yarmouth, Maine) became the 13th player in University of Southern Maine women's lacrosse history to reach the 100 career goals mark on Wednesday evening as she scored five times in a 15-4 win over the UMass Boston Beacons. D'Appolonia needed just two goals entering the day and netted the milestone goals with 1:25 left in the first quarter. Junior
Eliza Pattershall (Readfield, Maine/Maranacook) matched D'Appolonia's point total with five on three goals and two assists while also causing six turnovers and grabbing five ground balls.
Graduate student
Anna Byers (Milford, Ct./Joseph A. Foran) and
Mariam DeLisle (Whitefield, Maine/Lincoln Academy) each had four points with Byers recording a hat trick plus an assist, and DeLisle scoring twice and assisting on two goals. Senior
Cierra Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) assisted on three goals and recorded four draw controls.

Maggie Jones (St. John's, Newfoundland/Mount Academy) made five saves to earn her seventh win of the season before relinquishing goaltending duties to sophomore
Cally Dow (Lewiston, Maine) for the fourth quarter.
Emily Pearl and Kaitlyn Ondrick each scored two goals to lead the Beacons.

How It Happened:
- The Huskies scored five goals over the first eight minutes of action to prompt a change in net by the Beacons. Hanselmann scored the game's first goal with Hill assisting. DeLisle then scored back-to-back goals from Hill and Byers before Byers scored a goal of her own with Hill picking up the assist. D'Appolonia the set up D'Appolonia for her first goal of the game before the Beacons got on the board with a strike from Pearl. The Huskies added two more goals before the quarter came to an end with the first coming from Pattershall and the second being D'Appolonia's milestone goal to make the score 7-1.
- Pattershall scored twice and assisted on a goal by Poulin in the second quarter as the Huskies outscored the Beacons 4-1. D'Appolonia also scored for the Huskies. The UMass Boston goal came from Pearl in the final minute of the half.
- D'Appolonia scored an early free position goal to make the lead 12-2 and UMass Boston answered a free position score of their own to get the deficit back under 10. D'Appolonia then scored again with 53 seconds remaining in the quarter.
- Byers scored twice in the fourth quarter to get her hat trick with the first coming with the Huskies on the up.
