BOSTON – Freshman
Dylan Courtney (Hampden, Maine/Hampden Academy) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team tied for second in the pole vault Friday on the first day of the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center. His mark of 4.67m is a personal-best and ties him for sixth on the program leaderboard.

Christian Burke (York, Maine) ended the first day of the heptathlon in third place with 2,715 points. He had top three performances in the high jump (second, 1.93m) and the 60-meter dash (third, 7.34 seconds). Senior
Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine/Messalonskee) sits in seventh after the first four events with 2,473 points.

Camden Brown (Veazie, Maine/Orono) tied for ninth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.07m.

Michael Cyr (Caribou, Maine) also earned a spot on the program's top 10 performers list with a personal best time of 15:15.16 to place 10th in the 5000 meters. His time puts him into 10th on the program leaderboard. Junior
Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) set a personal best as well with a time of 1:59.17 to place 13th in the 800 meters.

Kody McCranie (Bow, N.H.) and sophomore
Marcus Tillery (Windham, Maine) competed in the 200 meters with McCranie placing 19th with a time of 22.80 seconds and Tillery placing 23rd at 23.19 seconds. Senior
Pashalis Pashalidis (Palo Alto, Cali) also competed and placed 24th in the 400 meters with a time of 52.27 seconds.
