GORHAM, Maine – The Bowdoin College Polar Bears defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's lacrosse team by a score of 20-3 on Wednesday evening at Gorham's Hannaford Field. Annie Bermingham recorded eight points on four goals and four assists and was one of seven Bowdoin players with multiple goals. Freshman

Anna Byers (Milford, Ct./Joseph A. Foran) scored for the Huskies.

Miya Imaeda logged two goals and three assists for Bowdoin. Mara Muse had three goals, and an assist and Grace Schorr had a hat trick as well. Jessie Ward, Tate Ryan and Caroline Swanson each scored twice.

How It Happened:
- Bowdoin opened the game on a 4-0 run before an up goal by DeLisle got the Huskies on the board. The Polar Bears added one more goal before the first quarter came to an end. Bermingham and Muse each scored twice.
- The Polar Bears outscored the Huskies 7-1 in the second quarter with all seven goals coming after a goal by Byers from senior Cierra Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy).
- Bowdoin scored four more times in the third before a goal by D'Appolonia from DeLisle with 1:33 left ended Bowdoin's streak of 11 consecutive goals.
- The visitors scored four times in the final quarter for the 20-3 final.
