GORHAM, Maine – The No. 7 Colby College Mules defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's lacrosse team by a score of 15-5 on Tuesday evening at Gorham's Hannaford Field. Stella Regan led the Mules with four points from a goal and three assists. Christina Long had a hat trick and Corinne Kapalka and Emma Greene each scored twice.

How It Happened:
- Colby scored first with Long finding the back of the net in the first five minutes of the game. The Huskies then tied the score at 1-1 on a goal by senior Cierra Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy). Colby countered with three consecutive goals before D'Appolonia cut the lead to 4-2. A late goal by Kapalka put the Mules ahead 5-2 entering the second quarter.
- The Mules outscored the Huskies 4-2 in the second to take a 9-4 lead into halftime. Long had two goals in the quarter while Regan had a goal and an assist. Both Southern Maine goals were scored by DeLisle with D'Appolonia assisting on the second with the Huskies on the up.
- Colby opened the second half on a 4-0 run in the third quarter with two up goals by Greene and one goal each from Lucy Dyer and Chelsea Tzau.
- Isabel Shurtleff scored an up goal in the fourth quarter then assisted on a goal by Madelyn Almgren. The Huskies had a goal from junior Eliza Pattershall (Readfield, Maine/Maranacook).
