GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies women's team started off the 2025 season with a 6-1 against the University of Maine at Augusta Moose on Thursday evening in Gorham. The Huskies took two of the three doubles matches with the No. 1 pairing of freshman Payton Thibodeau (Gorham, Maine) and sophomore Alyssa Conley (Windham, Maine) winning 6-2, and the No. 2 pairing of fifth-year senior Hanni Johnson (Livermore, Maine/Spruce Mountain) and freshman Willa Wilson (Westford, Vt./Essex) winning 6-0.
 
Thibodeau, Conley, Johnson and Wilson each also won their singles match for each of their first wins as Huskies. Lone returner in the lineup, senior Muriel Lattin (Litchfield, Maine/Winthrop), also earned a singles win with a 6-0 6-0 sweep at No. 5 singles.
