GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies women's tennis team was defeated by Thomas College 4-3 on Thursday evening in Gorham. The Terriers won the doubles points by taking two of the three matches and then won three singles matches to clinch the win.

Payton Thibodeau (Gorham, Maine) and sophomore
Alyssa Conley (Windham, Maine) earned a win at No. 1 doubles to avoid the doubles sweep. Each player also won their singles match, as did senior
Muriel Lattin (Litchfield, Maine/Winthrop). Conley had a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, Thibodeau won 6-2, 6-2 in the second singles spot and Lattin won a marathon of a match 6-4, 6-3 at fifth singles to close out the contest.
