GORHAM, Maine – Sophomore
Meghan Przybilla (St. Anthony, Minn./St. Anthony Village) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's soccer team has been named the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week. A second-team All-LEC midfielder as a rookie, Przybilla is earning weekly conference honors for the first time in her career.
Przybilla was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals and setting up a third in the Huskies' 5-4 season-opening triumph over Rivier Friday. Przybilla scored her second goal of the match in the 77th-minute to tie the game at 4-4 after her first tally of the contest in the 39th-minute to put the Huskies ahead 3-2 at halftime. Przybilla assisted on USM's second goal of the game in the 25th-minute to
Makyla Magid for a 2-1 Southern Maine lead.
The Huskies host UMaine Fort Kent on Wednesday, September 3 (4:00 pm) at Hannaford Field, and then embark on a six-game road schedule, facing nearby UNE on Saturday, September 6 (2:00 pm).
