GORHAM, Maine – Two members of the University of Southern Maine Huskies women's ice hockey team have earned 2024-2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. Earning the academic distinction were fifth-year senior
Haley McKim (Moncton, New Brunswick/Mount Academy) and senior
Amelie St-Amant (Cornwall, Ontario).

To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Skaters must have competed in 90 percent or started in 66 percent of their institution's games, while goalies must have started in at least 50 percent of their institution's games. The 2024-25 Academic All-District At-Large Team (including the USM-sponsored sports of field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, golf, wrestling) is selected by College Sports Communicators and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

McKim concluded her career with a Second Team All-New England Hockey Conference selection after recording a .944 save percentage and a 1.85 goals against average to go along with eight wins in goal. She became the program leader in career wins with her 47th victory. A three-time NEHC Goaltender of the Year, two-time New England Hockey Writers Association (NEHWA) All-Star and a 2023-24 American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American, the Health Sciences major graduated as the program leader in wins (48), shutouts (18), saves (3,103), goals against average (1.87), save percentage (.943), minutes in goal (6,002:13), and games in goal (100). This is her second time being named to the Academic All-District Team. Her career academic honors also include four NEHC All-Academic Team honors, four William B. Wise Scholar Athlete awards and was a Krampade/American Hockey Coaches Association All-American Scholar in 2022-23.

St-Amant played in every game as a defenseman. A true team-player, St-Amant blocked a team-leading 60 shots and led all USM defensemen in points with seven. All seven of her points came from assists as she finished second on the team in the category. She totaled 24 points on six goals and 18 assists during her 103-game USM career and played in every one of the team's games for the past three seasons. St-Amant graduated in May with degrees in Exercise Science and Health Sciences. A three-time NEHC All-Academic Team selection, three-time William B. Wise Scholar Athlete, and two-time Krampade/American Hockey Coaches Association All-American Scholar, this is the first Academic All-District honor for St-Amant.
