GORHAM, Maine – Junior Katelyn D'Appolonia (Yarmouth, Maine) has been named Second Team All-Pilgrim Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The 2025 Little East Conference Rookie of the Year, D'Appolonia is the fifth player in program history to earn all-region recognition.
 
The conference leader in goals-per-game, D'Appolonia was an offensive force for the Huskies this season with a team-leading 57 goals, 73 points and 82 draw controls. Her goal and point totals are the sixth best in a season in program history and her draw control total ranks seventh. She also set new single-game records for goals (11) and points (13) in a game in the Huskies' 21-7 win against Clark University on March 19. D'Appolonia played disruptive defense as well with 23 caused turnovers in addition to grabbing 43 ground balls, the second most on the team.
 
This is the second consecutive season in which the Huskies have had an all-region selection, as goalie Cece Racine was a second team pick in 2024. D'Appolonia is now the fourth midfielder in program history to earn all-region honors joining Aliza Jordan (2019), Jacki Kelly (2013) and Jessica Knight (2010).
 
The IWLCA honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2025. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2024 IWLCA Division III All-American teams on May 23.
