GORHAM, Maine – Graduate student
Bryce Lausier (Glenburn, Maine/Hampden Academy) and junior THomas Whelan (Bronx, N.Y./Fordham Prep) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's basketball team have each earned a spot on the 2024-2025 All-Little East Conference roster. Both Lausier and Whelan earned first team All-Conference honors for the Huskies.
A third-year guard for the Huskies, Whelan is earning post-season honors for the second time in his career after earning second team honors as a sophomore in 2023-24. Joining the Huskies in the 2024-2025 season, Lausier is earning all-conference honors for the first time in his career after playing at both Maine and Saint Anselm previously. Whelan and Lausier's selection to the all-conference first team marks the first time since the 1989-90 season that two Huskies were chosen. Former Husky standouts Tim Bonsant and Joe Millette were on the LEC first team that season.

The Huskies' second-leading scorer averaging 22.0 points per game, Lausier racked up 19 double-doubles during the season averaging a team-best 11.6 rebounds per contest. Lausier finished his season ranked third in NCAA Division III statistics for double-doubles in a season, and second in defensive rebounds per game at 10.40. His 11.6 rebounds per game were top 10 in Division III. Named the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Player of the Week four times during the season, and the Little East Conference Player of the Week once, Lausier had a season and career-high 34 points against UMass Boston (January 8, 2025) and a season and career-best 20 rebounds against Concordia (Texas) (December 29, 2024).
