Pashalis Pashalidis (Palo Alto, Cali.) all had first-place finishes for the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's indoor track & field team on Saturday at the USM Alumni Open in Gorham.

Cahill won the 300 meters with a time of 35.81 seconds. Evans took first place in the 500 meters with a time of 1:08.07. The 4x400 relay team won their race with a time of 3:32.08. Bowler won the weight throw with a toss of 15.31m and now ranks second on the program leaderboard in the event behind record-holder Matt Harmon.

Track Event Highlights:
- Freshman Kody McCranie (Bow, N.H.) placed second in the 300 meters behind Cahill at 36.20 seconds.
- Freshman Gavin Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) ran a time of 2:52.85 in the 1000 meters to place second.
- The Huskies took the top four spots in the 500 meters with Pashalidis, Dunne and Brown placing second through fourth. Pashalidis clocked in at 1:08.69, Dunne ran a time of 1:09.13 and Brown's time was 1:10.72.
- Sophomore Reegan Buck (Portland, Maine) placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.83 seconds.
- Buck also placed fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.83 seconds in the finals. Freshman Rhylen Avery (Sanford, Maine) came in just behind Buck to place sixth. Avery's prelim time of 6.75 seconds ranked fourth in the field.
- Senior Nate Brown (Palo Alto, Cali,) placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.52 seconds.
- Junior Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) placed fifth in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:41.98 and ranked second among collegiate competitors.
- Senior Camden Bessey (Westbrook, Maine) was the top collegiate runner in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:48.23 and finished fifth overall.
- Freshman Brady Edwards (South Portland, Maine) placed sixth in the finals of the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.95 seconds. Â
- Senior DeAnthony Evans (Westbrook, Maine) placed seventh in the finals of the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.89 seconds. His prelim time was 6.87 seconds.
- Freshman Ethan Cadorette (Biddeford, Maine) finished seventh in the mile with a time of 4:54.82.
- Senior Darien Davis (Lisbon Falls, Maine) placed seventh in the 1000 meters with a time of 3:02.20.

Field Event Highlights:
- Sophomore Trevor Amos (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) had a pair of second place finishes as he was runner-up in both the shot put and the weight throw. His weight throw mark of 15.14m puts him third in program history behind Harmon and Bowler, the only other two Huskies to surpass 15.00m in the event. He also set a new indoor-best in the shot put at 12.72m.
- Freshman Dylan Courtney (Hampden, Maine/Hampden Academy) placed second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.35m and was the top collegiate athlete in the event. Dalessandro tied for third at 4.05m, while Camden Brown placed fifth with a mark of 3.75m.
- Freshman Jaden Ruffin (Hollis, Maine/Bonny Eagle) placed third in the long jump with a distance of 6.43m that ranked second among collegiate competitors.
- Senior Christian Burke (York, Maine) placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 11.31m, a new indoor-personal-best.
- Sophomore Matt Reynolds (Winslow, Maine) placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 10.20m.
Up Next:
The Huskies return to action in 2026. The Huskies will send some athletes to the Bryant Indoor Throws Competition on January 7 before the bulk of the team opens 2026 at the USM Open II on January 10.
