How It Happened:
- Oscar Worob gave Skidmore a 1-0 lead off the rebound of a shot by York 7:31 into the first period. Matthew Franzoi also had an assist. The lead lasted for less than three minutes before Kinaschuk set up Sabourin for a breakaway goal to tie the game.
- The score remained tied until the final minute of the second period when Jacob Zwirecki fired a shot past Palmer with heavy traffic in front of the net. Freddie Ilias and Coleman Jenkins recorded the assists.
- Skidmore added two more goals in the third period from Kevin Urquhart and Kaeden Patrick.
