GORHAM, Maine – Senior
Cece Racine (Lewiston, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine women's lacrosse team has earned 2023-2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. This is the second Academic All-District selection of her career.

To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. The student-athlete also must have competed in 90 percent or started in 66 percent of their institution's games. The 2023-24 Academic All-District At-Large Team (including the USM-sponsored sports of field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, golf, wrestling) is selected by College Sports Communicators, and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

A Second Team All-Region selection by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), Racine tied the program record for wins this past season with her 26th victory. Racine was named the inaugural Little East Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and earned the third All-LEC citation of her career with a First Team nod. She finished the 2024 season ranked sixth nationally in save percentage at .518 and 14th in saves per game with 11.29. A Health Sciences major, Racine is fourth in program history in career saves with 460 and holds a .525 career save percentage. In addition to her two CSC Academic All-District selections, Racine was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll in 2022-23, is a three-time LEC All-Academic Team member, a three-time William B. Wise Scholar-Athlete, and a two-time LEC All-Sportsmanship Team selection.
