How It Happened:
- The first period ended 0-0 with the shots on goal at 7-6 in favor of the Huskies. The Southern Maine penalty killing unit had a great shift with four blocked shots. Seniors Mathieu Sabourin (Alexandria, Ontario), Zach Desmarais (St. Cyrille, Quebec) and Jackson Legro (Brentwood, N.H.) and sophomore Adrian Jubran (Knoxville, Tenn./James Madison) had the blocks.
- Krawczyk scored the first Elmira goal 7:00 into the second period on the power play with Ferguson and Young assisting.
- Pollara's goal came 13:58 into the period to tie the game. Hagan tapped a pass to Donovan along the boards who then slid the puck between two Elmira skaters to find an open Pollara. However, Elmira quickly regained the lead on a Carter Wisely goal that was assisted by Stephen MacDonald and Kenny Maxwell.
- Ferguson added a third goal for the Soaring Eagles in the closing minutes of the third before Young potted an empty-netter in the final minute.
