How It Happened:
- Doyle took advantage of a Husky turnover and deked around Palmer to score the first goal of the game 4:29 into the contest. The Huskies answered with four goals over the 15 minutes of action. Torgner scored twice with Pollara and Desmarais assisting on each goal. Graduate student Nick Ritmo (Niskayuna, N.Y.) scored his second goal of the season when Inzirillo came out of his net to play the puck and collided with graduate student Tanner McClure (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle). The puck bounced to Ritmo and he one-timed it into the net.
- Sabourin added the fourth Husky goal of the period after a pass from Judd.
- Friedman replaced Inzirillo at the start of the second period and the Wildcats scored on the power-play 29 seconds into the period with another goal by Doyle.
- Judd and Sabourin added goals in the third period to end the Wildcat threat. The Huskies had a shot by Jakub Suran (Liberec, Czech Republic) hit the post and a potential goal by Judd waived off for a crease violation in the period.
