How It Happened:
- Senior Curtis Judd (Newton, Mass./Albany Academy) nearly put the Huskies ahead in the first 30 seconds of the contest but his shot hit the post. The Huskies put four shots on goal in the first five minutes and had two more blocked but the Beacons took the lead on their first shot of the contest with a goal by Kurtas from Zander Lizotte and Jakob Teply.
- The Beacons doubled their lead early in the second period with a goal by Kaminski from Chris Repmann, Evan Googins.
- Sullivan netted the 10th goal of his rookie campaign 7:21 into the period to cut the lead to 2-1. Sabourin had the assist after intercepting a loose puck and setting up the freshman. Â
- UMass Boston pulled away with power-play goals by Sadovski and Foley in the third period.

- Each goalie made 39 saves in the contest.
- The Huskies blocked 24 shots in the game, their second-highest total of the season. Sophomore Cole Brennan (Sussex, N.J./ Pomfret School) and senior Nick Nault (Goffstown, N.H.) each registered four blocked shots.
