FRANKLIN, Mass. – Diego Alvarez-Segee scored eight goals and had three assists for Dean College on Monday afternoon as the Bulldogs defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies 19-9 in a non-conference game at Grant Field.

How It Happened:
- Dean began the game with three consecutive goals before sophomore Tucker Nussinow (Winthrop, Maine/Kent Hills School) scored the first Southern Maine goal with an assist by senior Schuyler Wetmore (Cumberland Center, Maine/Greely). Nussinow then assisted on an Omar Contreras (Portland, Maine/Deering) goal to get the Huskies within a goal.
- The Bulldogs pulled away with three unanswered goals to close out the first quarter and added another four in the second to go up 10-2 at the half.
- Dean scored eight more goals in the third while allowing three to Southern Maine and in the final frame the Huskies outscored the Bulldogs 4-1 behind three goals from Nussinow.

Inside The Stats:
- Alvarez-Segee tallied 11 points off of eight goals and three assists for Dean.
- Nussinow had the second-most goals with five and also recorded an assist.
- Dean's Alec Speirs scored four goals and had an assist.
- Grayson Colvin (three assists) and Greg Centeio (three goals) each recorded three points for the Bulldogs.
- Senior Nick James (Portland, Maine/Deering) scored a goal and had two assists while Contreras, Wetmore and Aman Zusner (Lyman, Maine/Massabesic) each logged two points. Contretas scored two goals, Wetmore had two assists and Zusner had one of each.
- The Bulldogs won 22 of 31 faceoffs with Tyler Benedetto recording 15 ground balls. Overall, Dean had 49 ground balls and Southern Maine had 28.
- Sophomore Luke Gagner (Portsmouth, N.H./ Traip Academy) recorded four ground balls to lead the Huskies.
- Sophomore Duncan Hayes (Augusta, Maine/Cony) recorded three of Southern Maine's eight caused turnovers.
