LEWISTON, Maine – The University of Southern Maine men's indoor track and field team finished fourth out of eight teams on Saturday at the 2023 Maine State Indoor Championships on Saturday. Bates College hosted the event and took first place followed by Bowdoin College and Colby College.
Standout Huskies:
- Sophomore Jacob Jackson (Auburn, Maine) placed first in the high jump by clearing 1.90m. Freshman Christian Burke (York, Maine) placed third at 1.85m. Jackson's mark is tied for seventh in the region.
- Jackson also placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 12.87m.
- Junior Kaleb Frey (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) moved on to the program's top-10 list in the shot put with a throw of 12.83m. Frey finished sixth overall in the event.
- Senior Antoine Grace (Queensbury, N.Y.) placed fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.13 seconds.
Up Next: The next meet for the Huskies will be the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday, February 11.
