NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The eighth-ranked Norwich University Cadets scored three times in the third period after trailing 1-0 to defeat the University of Southern Maine men's ice hockey team on Friday night.

How It Happened/Inside the Boxscore:
- Sophomore Jeff Pollara (Braintree, Mass.) scored the first goal of the game 4:37 into the first period with Christopher Morrison (Ridgefield, Conn./Nichols School) recording his second assist of the season.
- Pollara now has scored in the past two games and has three goals on the year.
- Each goalie made eight saves in a scoreless second period.
- Norwich tied the game off a Bryan O'Mara goal 7:43 into the third and Alex Lewis put the Cadets ahead just about halfway through the period.
- The Cadets added an empty-net goal by Paul Schmid in the final minute.
- Five different Cadets recorded assists in the game.
- The Huskies blocked 18 shots led by three apiece from Nolan McElhaney (Natick, Mass./Long Island University) and Nick Nault (Goffstown, N.H.).
