How It Happened/Inside the Boxscore:
- The first period was dominated by the goalies with Best making 18 saves and Palmer stopping all nine shots he faced.
- Sophomore Mathieu Sabourin (Alexandria, ON, Canada) scored the first goal of the game 7:09 into the second. Freshman Kadin Ilott (Kenora, ON, Canada) and sophomore Azam Jiwa (Calgary, AB, Canada/West Island College) assisted on the goal.
- Dakota Concannon tied the game for the Beacons with an unassisted power play goal 8:59 into the period and the UMass Boston lead was doubled by a Corey Clifton one-timer goal just under four minutes left in the period.
- Nine second into the final period Jacob Banks scored for the Beacons to give the hosts a 3-1 lead.
- The Huskies continued to put on pressure and cut the lead down to 3-2 when Ilott ripped a shot past Best for his second goal of the season and second point of the game.
- The Beacons survived for a 3-2 win to beat the Huskies for the second time this season.
- UMass Boston had a 47-20 advantage in shots on goal.
