How It Happened/Inside the Boxscore:
- Judd scored his eighth goal of the season about halfway through the first period on the power play to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Marini and Ouellette assisted on the goal.
- The Huskies added a second goal 18:20 into the period when sophomore Jeff Pollara (Braintree, Mass.) redirected the rebound of a Nolan McElhaney (Natick, Mass./Long Island University) shot into a wide-open net for his first career goal. Ouellette also assisted on the goal for his team-leading 10th helper of the season.
- Ouellette collected his third point of the day with a goal 5:35 into the second period with freshman Elliot Van Orsdel (Eveleth, Minn./ Eveleth-Gilbert) recording his first career assist on the play.
- Judd scored his second power play goal of the game 16:39 into the second period with Marini and freshman Jakub Suran (Liberec, Czech Republic) assisting.
- Elmira scored two goals in the span of 20 seconds to cut the Husky lead in half going into the final period.
- About three-and-a-half minutes into the third the Soaring Eagles scored another goal with one but the Huskies held tough to take the game 4-3 thanks to some big saves by Penton who made 15 saves in the third period.
- Nick Parody scored two of Elmira's goals while Tyler Schwindt scored the other.
- Cole Tucker had two assists for the Soaring Eagles.
- Elmira nearly tied the game with eighth minutes left to play but the goal was waved off due to a crease violation.
- Judd recorded his third two-goal game of the season and fourth multiple-point game.
- Ouellette had his fourth multiple-point game of the year while Marini had his second.
