- The Huskies held a slight shot advantage of 13-11 after a scoreless first period.
- Jazz Krivtsov put UMass Boston ahead 1-0 with a goal 5:32 into the second period. Ty Mathews and Mike Manzo tallied assists on the goal.
- Kolye Bankauskas scored a power-play goal to double the Beacons' lead with Grady Friedman providing the assist.
- Andy Walker scored an empty-net goal after receiving a pass from Manzo in the final minute of the third.
- Senior Curtis Judd (Newton, Mass./Albany Academy) led the Huskies with six shots.
- The Huskies blocked 13 shots as a team with sophomore Zach Desmarais (St. Cyrille, QC, Canada) and senior Nolan McElhaney (Natick, Mass./Long Island University) each blocking three. In total 10 different Huskies blocked a shot.
- Penton made at least 10 saves in each of the three periods and made 16 stops in the third.
