GORHAM, Maine – Ethan Shain (Sanford, Maine/Sanford), Ben Drummey (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford), and Keegan Cochrane (Chelsea, Maine/Schenectady High School) all picked up individual wins as the University of Southern Maine Huskies men's indoor track and field team competed in the USM Invitational on Sunday.

Recap: Continuing his dominance in sprint events, Shain won the 55m dash in 6.56s. Teammate Dan Flaherty (North Andover, Mass./North Andover) placed third in 6.68. Shain also competed in the 200m dash where he took eighth, while
Michael Geary (North Yarmouth, Maine/Greely) and Flaherty took third and fourth in 23.65 and 23.67, respectively. Also winning an event on the track was Cochrane, who took first in the 600m run in 1:26.13.
Drummey won the pole vault to continue his undefeated season, jumping 4.90m. Riley Peterson (Barnet, Vt./St. Johnsbury Academy) came in third in the pole vault with a mark of 4.30m. Also competing in field events, Jacob Jackson (Auburn, Maine/Auburn) took second in the triple jump (12.94m) and second in the high jump (1.85m).
Masho Gebremikael (Portland, Maine/Deering) and Cody Mathewson (Lebanon, Conn./Lyman Memorial) raced to second and fourth in the 5000m run in 16:09 and 16:28, respectively. Jordan Duplessie (Caribou, Maine/Caribou) also had an impressive day in distant events, as he took 2nd in the mile (4:41.81) and third in the 3000m run (9:27.97).
