GORHAM, Maine – Jacob Jackson (Auburn, Maine/Auburn) won the high jump and the triple jump as the University of Southern Maine men's track and field team turned in a number of strong performances at the USM Catch Up Meet on Sunday in Gorham.

Riley Bedard (Rumford, Maine/Mountain Valley) took third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.45m.
Ben Drummey (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) and
Alyas Ahmady (South Portland, Maine/South Portland) placed first and third in the pole vault, jumping 5.05m and 3.70m, respectively.
On the track, Ethan Shain (Sanford, Maine/Sanford) and Masho Gebremikael (Portland, Maine/Deering) both won individual events. Shain won the 55m dash in 6.53, currently the 7th fastest time in Division III this season, and Gebremikael won the 3000m run in 9:24.48. Cody Mathewson (Lebanon, Conn./Lyman Memorial) took third in the 3000m run in 9:34.84.
In the mile, Jack Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook), Jordan Duplessie (Caribou, Maine/Caribou), and Scott Lightbody (Kennebunk, Maine/Kennebunk) took third, fourth, and fifth running 4:44, 4:47, and 4:48. Coby Andersen (Lancaster, Mass./Nashoba Regional) finished second in the 200m dash with a time of 24.01s.
The Huskies 4x400m relay team of Andersen, Trevor Grenier (Old Orchard Beach, Maine/Old Orchard Beach), Michael Geary (North Yarmouth, Maine/Greely), and Keegan Cochrane (Chelsea, Maine/Schenectady) finished fourth in 3:43.71.
