Gorham, Maine – The Rhode Island College Anchormen swept the doubles and singles points to beat the Southern Maine Huskies 9-0 on Saturday in Gorham. With loss, the Huskies move to 0-2 on the season, while the Anchormen improve to 4-0. 

Sophomore Riley Curtis (Brewer, Maine/Brewer) managed one point against Hailey Raskob at second singles, before dropping her match 8-1. At first singles, Jenna Lisi of Rhode Island College beat Huskies' junior Ciara Richards (Caribou, Maine/Caribou) 8-0. The Anchormen also picked up 8-0 wins at third and fourth singles. 

Together at first doubles, Richards and Curtis were able to take a point from Lisi and Victoria Vittori, but ultimately fell 8-1. At second doubles for the Huskies, sophomores Audrey Richdale (Belfast, Maine/Belfast Area) and Rachel Grome (Franklin, Mass/Franklin) dropped their match 8-0 to Lauren Macera and Amiah Sommer. 

The Huskies are back in action Tuesday, April 20 as they travel to Plymouth State for a Little East Conference match.
