How It Happened/Inside the Box Score:
-Trailing 2-0 in the first, senior
Tyler Gardiner (Watertown, Massachusetts) found Desmarais for his first Husky goal to trim the deficit to 2-1 at the 14:40 mark. Peters then dumped in his second score of the period about 50 seconds later to regain the two-goal edge for the Beacons.
-The Huskies came within one yet again just 1:57 into the new period as Dowler cashed in his shot attempt. Behind 5-2, the duo of Tillotson and Dowler struck again for their second goal and assists of the period to put the Huskies back within two at 5-3 heading into the third.
-UMass-Boston pulled away in the third period and chased D'Aloisio from the contest after their seventh goal of the match. They put together four in the third with two off the shot of Joe Petruzzella.
-USM was outshot 61-to-26 in the contest.
-This was the third time this season that D'Aloisio had recorded 45 or more saves.

Adam Withers (Kenora, ON, Canada) paved the way for USM in the face-off circle leading the team with 13 wins.
