Southern Maine Trumps UMass Boston 6-3

GORHAM, Maine – Freshman Courtney Aldrich (Lewiston, Maine) won a tough 6-3, 6-3 match at third singles to clinch a 6-3 win for the University of Southern Maine Huskies over the UMass Boston Beacons in a Little East Conference women's tennis match Tuesday afternoon at the Costello Sports Complex Courts in Gorham, Maine.  The match was moved indoors due to inclement weather conditions.

The win is the second straight for the Huskies who improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the Little East Conference.  UMass Boston dips to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
