GORHAM, Maine – Sophomore Adia Ameswright (Chebeague Island, Maine/Yarmouth) was chosen as the representative for the University of Southern Maine on the 2026 Little East Conference Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Team. The conference announced its full slate of postseason awards on Thursday afternoon.

Ameswright, a Social & Behavioral Sciences major, just completed her first season with the Huskies. She spent most of the season playing at No. 6 singles and also saw action in the No. 5 slot. Playing at No. 3 doubles with sophomore Mikala Jones (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills), Ameswright earned the first win of her career as the pair defeated their opponents from Salem State on October 7, 7-6, after winning the tiebreak by a score of 7-5.
