BOSTON – The Emmanuel College Saints swept all five singles matches played to earn a 5-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a rain-shortened non-conference women's tennis match Monday evening at the Winsor Courts in Boston.
With their second straight win, the Saints improve to 6-1 overall. The loss stops the Huskies three-match winning streak and drops their overall record to 5-4.
Junior Ali Hartley (Boothbay Harbor, Maine/Boothbay) had the closest match of the day for the Huskies. Hartley fell to Saint junior Jenna Reid (Lincoln, R.I.) 6-4, 6-4.
Southern Maine returns to action on Wednesday (3:30 p.m.) at Colby-Sawyer. Emmanuel travels to Rhode Island College on Tuesday (3:30 p.m.).
