WATERVILLE, Maine – The Colby College Mules swept the University of Southern Maine Huskies earning all nine available points to pick up a 9-0 non-conference women's tennis match Monday at the Alfond-Wales Tennis Courts in Waterville, Maine.
With the win, Colby improves to 2-1 for the fall portion of its schedule. The loss drops Southern Maine's overall record to 6-7.
Sophomore Tess Perese (Minneapolis, Minn.) and junior Sarah Wiener (Mequon, Wisc.) led the Mules from the top of the order earning an 8-3 win at first doubles over Southern Maine sophomore Mary Moran (Windham, Maine/Portland) and junior Tegan Talbot (Topsham, Maine/Mt. Ararat).
Southern Maine hosts Rhode Island College on Tuesday (3:00 p.m.) in a Little East Conference match. Colby College
