GORHAM, Maine – Junior Will Farschon (Brunswick, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's golf team has earned the Little East Conference Golfer of the Week award for the second time this season. Farschon placed second over the weekend at the Bowdoin Invitational with a score of 211 (-5) over three rounds of play. His first honor came on September 15 after placing first in the John Queenan Memorial Invitational on September 9.
 
Farschon ended the first day of the competition tied for second with a two-round score of 142 (-2). He shot a 71 (-1) in both of Saturday's rounds, and had seven birdies total on the day with four in the first round and three in the second. Farschon then turned in the best round of any player on Sunday with a 68 (-3) to finish as the tournament's runner-up.
 
The Huskies are currently competing in the Southern Maine Community College Seawolf Shootout at the Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth. The team will host the Southern Maine Classic on Sunday, October 4 at Riverside Golf Course. Tee times for Sunday will start at 11:30 am.
