BANGOR, Maine – Graduate student Remy Levin (Steep Falls, Maine/Bonny Eagle) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's golf team shot an 87 (+16) to tie for fourth on Saturday at the Husson Eagle Invitational at Bangor Municipal Golf Course. The Huskies placed third in the team standings with a score of 413 (+129). Levin shot par of seven holes.
 
The University of New England took first place with a score of 361 (+77) led by medalist Abby Flanagan's 79 (+8). UNE also had the event runner-up as Amanda Forziati placed second with an 80 (+9).
 
Senior Belle Steeves (South Paris, Maine/Oxford Hills) placed 12th with a score of 101 (+30). Her round included a birdie on the fourth hole. Junior Ryley Meyer (North Sioux City, S.D./Dakota Valley) shot 111 (+40) to place 16th.  Junior Taylor Takatsu (West Gardiner, Maine/Gardiner Area) finished 17th with 114 (+43) Senior Meaghan May (Framingham, Mass.) tied for 18th with a 116 (+45) to round out the lineup for the Huskies.
 
The Huskies will return to action on Sunday, September 20 at the Southern Maine Community College Invitational at the Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth.
