Graduate student
Remy Levin (Steep Falls, Maine/Bonny Eagle) won the medalist and LEC Player of the Year honors at last season's inaugural championship. Levin recorded two-round score of 170 (+26) to become the first-ever LEC Women's Golf medalist and will be looking to defend her title against a strong field. The top performer for the Huskies at each of their events this season, Levin has two event titles and six top-five finishes to her credit this year. Her first individual event title came at the John Queenan Memorial Invitational, where she became the first golfer in program history to break 80 with a score of 79 (+7). She also placed first at the Husky Classic with a score of 80 (+8).
Southern Maine's lineup also features two returners who helped the team place third at last year's event. Senior
Belle Steeves (South Paris, Maine/Oxford Hills) placed 10th last season with a score of 194 (+50) to earn Second Team All-LEC honors, while junior
Ryley Meyer (North Sioux City, S.D./Dakota Valley) placed 15th at the two-round score of 206 (+62). Meyer has broken 100 twice this season, while Steeves will be looking to play her way into all-conference honors once again.
The Huskies' lineup also features senior
Meaghan May (Framingham, Mass.) and junior
Taylor Takatsu (West Gardiner, Maine/Gardiner Area), both players that are making their LEC Championship debut. May has been part of the program since its inaugural season in 2023, while Takatsu is in her first year with the program.
The winning team will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2027 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship in May. The championship is being held at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va. from May 11-14 with Chirstopher Newport University serving as the host.
