EASTON, Mass. – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team placed seventh at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships at Stonehill College over the week with 31 points to secure the program's highest placement in the history of the outdoor event. Ryker Paradis (Lewiston, Maine) led the way for the Huskies by placing first in the discus with a personal-best throw of 50.38m. He also placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 16.31m.
Freshman
Dylan Courtney (Hampden, Maine/Hampden Academy) placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 4.55m to earn seven points for the Huskies. Senior
Maddox Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.) led the Huskies in the track events by placing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.97 seconds. Cahill also ran on a 4x100 relay team that placed fifth with a time of 42.54 seconds. He was joined on the relay team by sophomore

Treshaun Brown (Kittery, Maine) placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.21m to earn a point for the Huskies.
In the field events, senior
Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine/Messalonskee) placed ninth in the pole vault at 4.25m. Senior
Christian Burke (York, Maine) also cleared 4.25m to place 11th. Freshman
Tyler Bryant (South Portland, Maine) placed 12th in the javelin with a throw of 49.21m, while sophomore
Trevor Amos (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) placed 16th in the discus with a throw of 40.69m.
On the track, senior
Michael Cyr (Caribou, Maine) placed 13th in the 5000 meters with a time of 15:56.67, freshman
Conner Smith (Durham, Maine/Freeport) placed 19th in the 1500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:05.59. Berube ran a personal-best time of 11.17 seconds in the 100-meter dash to place 21st. Burke placed 25th at 11.42 seconds. Senior
Pashalis Pashalidis (Palo Alto, Cali.) set a personal-best in the 400 meters with a time of 51.48 seconds to place 25th. Junior
Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) placed 27th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.73.
Select members of the team will compete at the MIT Final Qualifier on Thursday, May 14.
